Yasemin Aslanyürek’s project explores the effects of supernatants obtained from UV-induced adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells in an in vitro model of Parkinson’s disease.

Our Focus

Research Areas

Our work connects stem-cell biology, cardiovascular physiology, and neurophysiology to investigate how biological systems are damaged, protected, and repaired.

Stem Cells & Tissue Regeneration

Mesenchymal stem cells, extracellular vesicles, and decellularized scaffolds are central to our studies of tissue repair, wound healing, and myocardial regeneration.

Cardiovascular Physiology

We investigate myocardial injury, cardiomyocyte responses, and strategies to protect or restore cardiac function using cell-culture and experimental animal models.

Neurophysiology & Neuroprotection

Our research examines neuronal conductivity, neurodegenerative damage, and the effects of bioactive compounds on neuronal and glial cells.

Biomaterials & Translational Cell Models

We combine biomaterials with in vitro cell-based systems to investigate tissue repair, cellular responses, and regenerative strategies.
